Day 1 : Kolkata to Ho Chi Minh City

Assemble at Kolkata International Airport by 9:30pm to board flight to Ho Chi Min City.

Overnight on transit.

Day 2 : Reach Ho Chi Minh City and Half Day City Tour

Reach Ho Chi Minh City very early in the morning and post visa & immigration formalities, transfer to your hotel. The morning is free for you to take rest and get refreshed for your weeklong tour of Vietnam. Later in the afternoon, we will go for a city tour of Ho Chi Minh City. Start your afternoon with a visit to the Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral which is an over 150-year-old church in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City. Visit the Vietnam War Remnant Museum which displays old military equipment and other related items from Vietnam War (Ticket is self paid). Visit the observation deck of Landmark 81 which is the tallest building of South-East Asia and gives a 360 degree view of the Ho Chi Minh city (Ticket is self paid). In the evening you can enjoy the party atmosphere at the walking street of district one which is full of restaurants and street foods alike.

Day 3 : Full Day Cu Chi Tunnel & Mekong Delta Tour

After an early morning breakfast, start your day by visiting the historic Cu Chi Tunnel. The Cu Chi Tunnels are a network of underground tunnels, carved out by hand, located 55 miles northwest of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). In the Sixties and Seventies, Cu Chi was part of hotly contested territory during the Vietnam War. The tunnel network was borne out of trial and error, as well as the hard work of the Viet Cong, who carved the tunnels out by hand with simple picks and shovels. For those interested, there is an opportunity to fire off an AK47 or MK16 with real ammunitions at the nearby shooting range. Later in the morning We depart for Mekong Delta. On the way, we stop by at a local restaurant to enjoy a lunch with Vietnamese Cuisine (Halal & Vegan food available). Upon reaching My Tho,start your motorboat cruise through the waterways of Mekong Delta. Get a glimpse of 4 beautiful islands; the Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise Islands, along the way. Make a stop at a local coconut sweet(s) workshop, and get to indulge in fresh seasonal fruits complemented by honey or fruit tea.  Have the chance to watch an authentic Southern Vietnamese folk music performance performed by the locals. Later in the evening depart from Mekong Delta and reach Ho Chi Minh City by 7pm.

Day 4 : Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi - Hanoi City Tour

Morning transfer to the airport to board your flight for Hanoi. Reach Hanoi by late morning and transfer to your hotel. Later in the afternoon, go for a half day of Hanoi city tour. Start the tour on to beautiful Tran Quoc Pagoda located on the shores of Lake West and visit to Ho Chi Minh complex. The next place to move to is One Pillar Pagoda followed by the Temple of Literature.  Later in the evening, visit the Old Quarter, also known as the 36 streets - This bustling area of narrow streets is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. It’s a great place to explore with plenty of photo opportunities and also enjoy street-food dinner.

Day 5 : Hanoi - Ha Long Bay Cruise

After breakfast, departure from Hanoi to Halong Bay (165 km east of Hanoi). Enjoy landscape of the Red River Delta countryside and have a short break on the halfway. Arrive at the Halong tourist pier by noon and embark on board. Enjoy welcome drink and check in cabins. Have lunch Vietnamese Set Menu while cruising through magnificent Ha Long Bay, admire the fascinating formation on the way. You will cruise through World Nature Heritage Halong Bay, passing bizarre rock formations, such as the Dinh Huong (the Incense Urn), Cho Da (the Stone Dog), islands with sandy beaches and Ga Choi (the Fighting Roosters) islets. Indulge in some activities such as swimming, kayaking, caving etc throughout the afternoon. Join the sunset party on the sundeck in warm and romantic atmosphere, drinking wine, enjoy fresh local fruit,  listening soft, light music from the sundeck bar. Post dinner you can relax or go for some squid fishing activity too.

Day 6 : Ha Long Bay to Hanoi

Enjoy the lovely sunrise on the Ha Long Bay and you can start your morning with some Tai Chi exercise on board. After some tea and snacks, visit one of the popular caves of Ha Long Bay. After some leisure morning activity, we will have an early lunch on board and then check out of the cruise to start the return journey to Hanoi. Reach Hanoi by evening and the rest of the evening is free to explore the market at Hanoi.

Day 7 : Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc Day Tour

After breakfast, a couple hours’ drive outside of Hanoi will head deep into Vietnam’s picturesque countryside. Discover Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam during the Dinh and Le dynasties, before taking a sampan trip down the Tam Coc River. Also called the ‘Halong Bay on Land,’ this region is famous for its charming grottoes and limestone karst mountains which often looks like mysterious caves. Spend the whole day appreciating the natural beauty of the ancient capital and the countryside of Vietnam. Return to hotel by evening.

Day 8 : Hanoi – Kolkata

Very early morning transfer to the airport to board your return flight to Kolkata.
